There are two buildings on the island that belong to Orkney Islands Council. They are the Westray Junior High School and the Westray Healthy Living Centre and Swimming Pool. These buildings are also used for community activities after school finishes and at weekends.
The entrance to the school is down the steps from the car park and during school hours you have to press a button to alert the school reception staff you wish to enter. After school is over there are several rooms available to the Westray community and are the responsibility of the Community Association. The rooms are:

The Community Room
The Dining/Assembly Hall
The Snooker Room
Toilets
All these rooms must be booked with the booking clerk via the Room Booking System on this web site.
Additional to the school building are the Healthy Living Centre and Swimming Pool, accessed by entering via a different entrance at car park level. These rooms must also be booked via the web site Room Booking System. There is a charge for each room booking.
